We know - it’s taken us a while to sort out a decent website. But at last, it’s here! The brand new, all-singing, all-camping Cool Camping website lets you search out the best campsites in the UK – all personally approved by the Cool Camping team, so you can be sure these are all cracking sites. But this is just the start – there’s so much more to be added to the site over the coming months, so make sure you register with us to stay up to date on all our shenanigans.

What can I do on the new coolcamping.co.uk website?

Well, probably the first thing you’ll want to do is find a lovely campsite. Search by location and campsite feature, then click on an individual campsite to read our review and see the photos. The only campsites we feature have been selected and inspected by the Cool Camping team and we write an honest account of each site – so you know that the info is independent and trustworthy. In most cases, our own pictures give a really good idea of each site – and over time, campsite owners and fellow campers will add photos, reviews and videos, to help you pick the right site.

If you register, you can also save your favourite campsites, invite friends camping quickly and easily, add your own campsite reviews, photos and videos and access the members forum to join discussions or ask questions. We’ll also send you occasional emails so you’ll be first to hear about brand new Cool Camping-approved campsites, and we’ll also update you on availability to help you find pitches during busy times.

The Cool Camping books are also available to buy on the site – look out for special offers and discounts on these and other Punk Publishing titles.

But this is just the start; we’re hoping to add loads more over the coming months, including availability searches, campervan rental reservations and an online camping shop. So stay tuned campers…

Why is coolcamping.co.uk different to the other camping websites?

Other camping websites are open to anybody and everybody. All campsites are able to join up, even the rubbish ones – there’s no quality control. So you may find a website with thousands of campsites listed, but they might not all be that good. At coolcamping.co.uk we are all about quality, not quantity. We deliberately select a smaller number of exceptional sites to feature, so you can be sure that you’ll be camping in a special place. Since the first Cool Camping book was published in 2006, we’ve built up an unrivalled reputation for being the experts on great camping spots, and we want to keep it that way. So what makes a Cool Camping site?

We’re all about the best places to camp, pure and simple. That means countryside campsites, stunning locations, great views, secret woodlands and other special places to get outdoors. Although we focus more on natural, simple camping in smaller sites, we also recommend the best of the other sites too – the best family campsites and the best luxury camping (or ‘glamping’) campsites.

We’re aimed squarely and unashamedly at tent campers, but many of the campsites we recommend are also suitable for small campervans. A few are also suitable for motorhomes and caravans.
